How do I download a Participant List from Blackboard in TurningPoint Cloud?

  • Click on the Manage tab.
  • Click on the Participant List drop down menu and choose New.

  • Select Download from Integration and click Create List.

  • Select Blackboard from the Integration drop-down menu.
  • Enter the address of your blackboard server into Server Address field. (At the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, we use https://learn.uark.edu)

  • Enter your username and password for Blackboard. Click Connect.
  • Check the box next to the Blackboard Learn course(s) to import.

  • Click Import. Click OK.

I get an error when I click on the PowerPoint Polling option in the TurningPoint Cloud Dashboard.

The cause of this could be one of several reasons.

The first thing to be sure is that you have PowerPoint installed on your computer.

If you do, then try restarting your machine.

If it still doesn't work, then it might be that the TurningPoint plugin is disabled.
  • Click on the File tab
  •  Click on the Add Ins group on the left


  • Click on the drop down next to Manage: and choose Disabled items
  • Click Go
  • If TurningPoint is disabled here it will appear in the list, click on it
  • Click Enable

How do I set the channel on my Turning Technologies RF-LCD?

  • Click Channel
  • Click ## (where ## is the correct channel for your classroom)
  • Click Channel
To find the channel for the classroom which you're in at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, you can go to the Clicker Allocations Map.




My student has points in Results Manager in TurningPoint Cloud, but when I upload to Blackboard the points don't transfer.

This usually happens when a student has created their Turning Account and added their device ID, but they have not yet added their Turning Account license to the account.

Their registration in the participant list probably looks something like this:
555AAA; 100000AA John Smith jsmith jsmith@university.edu Inactive
 
To solve this, they need to add their license code from their Turning Account card.  When purchasing a new clicker from the University Bookstore on the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus that card is included in the box with the clicker.  If this is a clicker purchased before we moved to Cloud or that was purchased used from someone else, then you'll need to buy that Turning Account card separately.















My clicker won't light up green when I answer a question even though I'm on the right channel or it won't let me set a channel.

Sometimes clickers get grumpy just like people.  Your clicker probably just needs to be reset, just like you do during spring break!

If your clicker is being wonky (that's a technical term) the best thing to do is to take the battery out for approximately 10 seconds and then put it back in.  This resets the clicker to factory settings and fixes most of those quirks.


To remove the battery you'll need a small Phillips head screwdriver like the one above.  The battery compartment is on the bottom on the back of the clicker.

How do I update my participant list in TurningPoint Cloud?


  • Click on the Manage tab
  • Double click on the name of the participant list to open the Results Manager
  • Click on the Integrations button



  • Enter Server Log In Information (The following settings are specific to the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville)
    • Integration: Blackboard
    • Server Address: https://learn.uark.edu
    • Username: Blackboard username
    • Password: Blackboard password




  • Click Connect
  • Click Update List



  • Then if you have any unlicensed participants the following screen may pop up.  In which case, just click OK.
